The recent Australasian Diabetes Data Network (ADDN – www.addn.org.au) project meeting took place in Sydney. The clinicians, project technical staff and representatives from the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation were in attendance. This project has already been used to undertake the first national benchmark of youth diabetes in Australia. The registry is developed by Dr Loren Bruns Jr (third from right) and contains extensive clinical information on over 8500 patients. This data is obtained directly from hospital systems.
