PhD candidate Yang Lu gave a talk at the University of Melbourne CIS Doctoral Colloquium on Semantic-based Privacy-Preserving Record Linkage. This covered the challenges of data linkage and information leakage. Her talk showed how semantic reasoning can be used to tackle the many security risks. An example of geospatial reasoning was shown based around the AURIN project and use of the Australian Statistical Geography Standard (ASGS), however the work covers many other reasoning and inference capabilities. Great stuff Yang!
