First day of teaching Cluster and Cloud Computing commences today. 118 grad students (at the moment!) will explore HPC and Cloud systems and get their hands dirty with openStack, Slurm, CouchDB, Hadoop, Spark amongst other things for a range of big data analytics scenarios (including mashing up Twitter data and official data for the cities of Australia)! It should be fun… ;o)
